SCVC is here to keep you horse at their top performance ability. We understand the importance of keeping your equine athletes feeling their best as many of us at SCVC are riders, not just veterinarians. We can diagnose and treat a multitude of conditions and can guide you through the process.

Upper airway Endoscopy

SCVC has a 1-meter endoscope with camera to visualize and diagnose conditions of the nasal passages and entire upper airway of the horse.

Gastroscopy

A 3-meter endoscope is used to visualize the esophagus and stomach to diagnose gastric ulcers and other conditions of the gastric region.

Therapeutic Joint Management of Equine

We are here to assist in keeping your equine friend happy and comfortable with therapeutic joint treatments tailored to your horse’s specific needs. A thorough exam and discussion are provided to choose the best treatment options for you and your horse.

Regenerative Medicine

Injury and lameness issues can be devastating. We are here to help with many different regenerative medicine options including:

Shockwave

SCVC has a Pulse Vet shockwave system. The PulseVet Shock Wave System produces high-energy sound waves, which stimulate cells and release healing growth factors in the body that reduce inflammation, increase blood flow, accelerate bone formation, and enhance wound healing.

Ophthalmology for Equine

The vets at SCVC can treat an array of eye issues including corneal ulcers, stromal abscesses, uveitis, and glaucoma. We also offer SPL (sub-palpebral lavage) placement and hospitalized treatments for complicated equine cases.

Minor Surgery

We can help with minor surgical procedures including but not limited to:

Advanced Dentistry

Emergency services

Emergencies can be frightening, and horses rarely experience them at convenient times.   We are here to help during these difficult moments.  Daytime and after-hours emergency services are provided to all current SCVC equine patients.
